The Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass) is a non-departmental public body in England that was set up to promote the welfare of children and families involved in family court.
As explained by Elizabeth Morrison, Board and Corporate Support Assistant at Cafcass, the organisation has always been innovative and strived to achieve more with less costs. In 2014, they started to try out various digital solutions for their board packs and meetings. They tried competitive products like BoardPad, BoardVantage, BoardEffect and VirtualBoard but ultimately found Convene to be the best value for money solution compared to all the other providers.
Convene’s security and encryption along with its customisable user experience helped Cafcass make their decision of buying the product. They started rolling out Convene in December 2014, and the whole board has been using it since March 2015.
